ISSET is proud to announce that four times astronaut Major General Charles Bolden will be visiting the UK in January 2007 to be the key speaker at the Space For Inspiration conference.

Overcoming social deprivation and racial prejudice, Charlie Bolden has become a decorated military officer, a successful business personality and has commanded manned space flight missions; a truly amazing and out of this world career.

Astronaut Charles Bolden will also be visiting schools and communities in Cardiff, Birmingham and Liverpool.  He provides a truly inspirational role model and personifies how young people can overcome racial prejudice and social deprivation to fulfil their dreams and ambitions.  He will also motivate our girls and boys to consider careers and courses in maths, engineering and science and show them what cool jobs and lifestyles can be achieved.
