Ice Edge Competition

ISSET is proud to announce collaboration with with the practical learning charity Edge on the exciting new UK national competition, Ice Edge.

Devised by Edge, the competition is an opportunity for students to research and develop new ideas to protect the environment, with the chance to win the prize of a lifetime: a fully paid-for trip to the icy wonderland of Svalbard, the most northerly point in Europe, to see polar bears, walk on glaciers, go dog-sledding and much more!

The competition is being accompanied by Ben Saunders, the British explorer who was the youngest person to ever ski solo to the North Pole and a keen supporter of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme. Find out more about Ben and by reading his web log, follow his adventures at www.bensaunders.com

Ben will be leading events, survival roleplaying activities and excursions such as "Be an Explorer for the Day!".
