| The trip to Mars will be a
challenging one for a variety of reasons. As in any spaceflight mission, the launch and
subsequent propulsion maneuvers en route all entail some risks associated with rocket
propulsion. Once under way crews will have to be self-reliant because they cannot get
resupplied from Earth or abort the mission (return home). Mission constraints do not
allow for those possibilities at this time. What are some of the physical dangers involved
