Attend half day training provided by former mentors and TAS staff members.

  • Provide short biographies about your job, and why you became an engineer for the web site.

  • Get acquainted with scholars via on-line discussion groups focusing on curriculum topics of study (Shuttle/Station, and Moon/Mars) in the fall and spring.

  • Get acquainted with your student team, educator, and mentor via e-mail and a discussion session before the summer workshop begins in late spring.

  • Review team member's final projects on the web site.

  • Participate in the summer workshop during team project and presentation periods and other events as schedules permit.

  • Facilitate student research and project design on a specific theme in lunar or Mars Exploration: Getting There, Living There, or Working There and offer guidance in developing the team's final presentation.

  • Co-ops are encouraged to attend briefings and tours, and to accompany teams at meals and on field trips.

  • Assist in evaluating team members performance, group projects, and the internship program as a whole.
