Gary Spexarth
I graduated from Wichita State University (WSU) in 1995 with a B.S.
degree in Mechanical Engineering. While at WSU I co-oped at NASA/JSC for 5 semesters. I am currently taking night classes at the University of Houston / Clear Lake working towards a M.S. degree in Physical and Space Science.
This is my 5th year working at the Johnson Space Center. I am
currently working in the Structures and Mechanics Division as a member of a team
of engineers that is designing an inflatable spacecraft called TransHab.
I decided to get a degree in engineering because I love Math and Science. TransHab is a very fun project because I am able to use the knowledge that I learned in school to design and build a new type of spacecraft.
I have a wife and two children. I am originally from Kansas and my
wife is originally from Mississippi.
