Mission Success Starts With Safety

NASA's safety vision is to be the nation's leader in safety and occupational health and in providing safe products and services.

Our record is exceptional , but we can do better by continuing to incorporate safety and health principles and practices into our daily decision-making processes and lives.

Safety plays an integral role in NASA's quest to expand frontiers in aeronautics and space. As we embark on one of our great adventures — launching, building, and using the International Space Station —we are aware that NASA's ultimate success can only be achieved with a safe and healthy workforce.

As we move into the 21st century, NASA has designated safety and health as our highest priority. We will not compromise the safety and health of our people and property nor will we harm the environment. In fact, every employee's safety and health, both on and off the job, is our concern.
