What is this Space Camp prize?
Space Camp is ISSET's flagship programme - a three-day course that teaches you about space, space travel and the amazing science behind it.
The course takes you through the major steps of space exploration, with exciting activities and engaging videos:
- Understanding the solar system
- Planning a mission
- Rocketry and propulsion
- Living in space
- Landing and living on other planets
At each step, you'll find important problems, how they are solved, and the science involved, which has many applications in our day-to-day lives.
During the course, you will:
- Launch your own paper rockets
- Create a mission patch for your very own mission into space
- Work out what you need to live in space
- Learn about the history of space travel
- Put together a jigsaw of the solar system
- Explore inspiring images of the universe
- Create your own Mars lander
- Fly around the International Space Station in a 3D virtual reality model
- And much more...
Space Camp is a great opportunity to learn about science and space in a fun and interesting way!
The Bradford Primary Challenge is being offered to pupils and schools in partnership with Space Connections, and supported by the far-sighted Yorkshire Forward Regional Development Agency.
