Ideas From Space
Getting Help
About Space Camp
Take part in a great science competition for Years 5 & 6. Use your imagination and computer skills to win a place on the fantastic 'Space Camp' this summer.
The Challenge
In a team of 2, 3 or 4, send us a PowerPoint presentation on: 'How space exploration can help save the planet or improve life on earth'
You can get as much help as you need from your teachers, parents, friends or experts. The PowerPoint can be made in lessons, or out of school.
The Prize
The winning teams and their teacher or other adult will be invited to a completely free residential 'Space Camp' on the 29th, 30th June and 1st July 2009. The Space Camp will take place at the lovely Haworth Youth Centre, with all transport, meals and accommodation provided for free. Staying overnight with your friends and other winning boys and girls will be great, but if you do not want to stay on each night, transport will be provided from your school to the 'Space Camp' on a daily basis.
What will the winners do at 'Space Camp'? Have a great time, make and launch rockets, learn how we overcome gravity, explore the solar system and the wider universe, understand space walking, know what is in the night sky, make new friends, enjoy learning, realise that 'you can do it' - with effort, you can be what ever you would like to become.
Closing Date - now extended
Thursday 7th May 2009
