STS-119 Crew to Visit UK

This July, the crew of STS-119, the latest shuttle mission to the International Space Station, will visit the UK, to speak to children about science, education and their passion for space, and to promote the goal of human space flight to the UK.

Itinerary

Saturday 4th July & Sunday 5th July
Meetings in London

Monday 6th July
Day hosted by Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester

Tuesday 7th July
Crew visits Skipton College with Yorkshire Forward

    
 
Wednesday 8th July
10:00 – 12:30: The whole crew makes a presentation (50 minutes) to 12,000 school students at Gateshead Soccer Stadium
 
Thursday 9th July  
10:00 – 12:30: The whole crew makes a second presentation (50 minutes) to 12,000 school students at Gateshead Soccer Stadium

Friday 10th July
The crew will visit students in North Tyneside
