STS-124 Crew to Visit UK

In September 2008, astronauts from the STS-124 Space Shuttle mision visited the UK to speak to school children and inspire them to pursue their dreams and careers in science, technology and space. The astronauts also promoted human space flight to government, public institutions and the media, to ensure that the future of this cutting edge of human endeavour is supported and accessible to all.

Watch the BBC News presenters interview Astronauts Mark Kelly and Karen Nyberg alongside ISSET Chairman Chris Barber about the STS-124 mission and the programme for the UK visit, the goals and apirations of the project for space education and science learning for school children.
